Merry Market in the Mall at Countryside Mall in Clearwater supports and showcases more than 80 Bay Area makers and merchants, many of whom are getting their first brick-and-mortar experience.

 Opened in 1975 — with its iconic ice-skating rink coming three years later — Countryside Mall in Clearwater has been a community social hub for 50 years. 

 More and more mall space is being filled by local vendors and merchants. 

 Market in the Mall celebrates dozens of area makers, giving many of them their first brick-and-mortar experience. 

The Back-to-School Jamboree, organized by Community Markets & Events, brought over 20 local businesses together for one event ahead of the new school year in Pasco County.

COMMMUNITY MARKETS ARE PROVING TO BE A STEPPING STONE FOR BUDDING ENTREPRENEURS - A WAY TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR INCOME AND GET FROM HERE TO THERE. 

 Trinity is an increasingly growing area of Pasco County, and the number of entrepreneurs is growing too. Cheryl Taylor has been running Community Markets and Events for the past year. They've grown from two markets a month to 10. "I think what's important is that we realize how important getting community together is to get messages out, learn what's going on in our community, and to support our local economy. All of the dollars that are spent and supported here at Community Markets stays within our local community. And that just causes the whole area to thrive," explains Taylor. 

Merry Market in the Mall is at Countryside Mall in Clearwater. It's home to over 50 local Tampa Bay Area artisans.
